Summary: Kathy suffers from memory loss due to Alzheimer disease. Her husband, Ken, would like weekly respite care from a caregiver who can interact, encourage and spend time with his wife.

 Personal Care

  • Focus on engaging with Kathy in conversation, games, exercise and activities.

Toileting:

  • Wears pull-ups. Will need guidance with pulling her pants down and sitting on the commode. Will need reminders to use the bathroom

Shaving and Oral:

  • Set up the brush with paste and tell her how to brush her teeth, may need to assist

Housekeeping and Personal Services

  • See detailed list of cleaning tasks on Page 2 and 3 of Service Plan in the blue folder.

  • Minimal housekeeping requested. Just keep the house picked up and clean after ourselves. Dust grand-childrens’ plates and pictures together as an activity.

Likes and Dislikes

  • See Getting to Know You document in the blue folder. Please contribute regularly.

  • Watches TV after she wakes up. Records Days of Our Lives. Enjoys old shows like Murder She Wrote, Gunsmoke, etc.

  • Likes to walk to HEB on nice days. Walks on the Kingwood greenbelt (take phone so you can use maps in case lost)

  • Smokes outside and picks up leaves in the backyard.

Updates:

  • 11/4/2019 - Ken and Kathy have recently added 4 hour Sunday shifts to help her get ready for church. Caregivers will attend church with them.
